How to Use Bubbul Gem Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
There are many activities and quests to undertake in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Many of these are straightforward, but sometimes you will need to figure out what a particular item does and where you can use it – or if you can use it at all. Let’s take the Bubbul Gem as an example here. Once you get one of these in your inventory, you will no doubt wonder about where and how to use the Bubbul Gem in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. And, since inventory space is so limited, you’re probably asking yourselves whether or not it even has a function, or is it better to simply get rid of it. Well, that’s what we’re here to answer.
How to Use Bubbul Gem in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
You won’t be able to use this item when you first get it. But don’t get rid of it, as it does have a use. This comes in the form of two inter-connected side quests. The first of these Side Adventures is called “The Search for Koltin“. Here, you’re going to be tasked with finding Koltin. The quest description is also going to mention that Koltin has set out to “find something called Bubbul Gems.” That sounds like a great lead that you should pursue to find a use for the Bubbul Gem. We have marked the location where you need to go to find Koltin in the gallery below.
When you get there, Koltin will tell you about his dream of obtaining a Bubbul Gem. This will begin “The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!” Side Adventure. If you have a Bubbul Gem on you, you can give it to him. And if you don’t – or you got rid of the Bubbul Gem in your inventory – don’t worry, you’re not locked out of this quest and there’s still a way to complete it. All you need to do is to go hunting for Bubbulfrogs. These creatures can be found in caves, and they sometimes drop Bubbul Gems when you defeat them.
Bubbul Gem Rewards in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
There are many rewards that you can get from Koltin when you give him Bubbul Gems. However, the trick here is that, Koltin is going to move around and change his location all the time. Also, you can only find him at night. The first of these locations is going to be northwest of Tarrey Town, and here are the other spots where he can be found. If you absolutely can’t locate him, you need to go back to his brother in Tarrey Town for a clue as to where to look for him next. Likewise, Koltin can also point you in the right direction of Bubbulfrogs. Here are the rewards you can get from Koltin and how many Bubbul Gems these prizes require:
- One Gem: Bokoblin Mask.
- Two Gems: Moblin Mask.
- Two Gems: 3x Hinox Toenail.
- Three Gems: Mystic Robe.
- Three Gems: x8 Fire Keese Eyeball.
- Three Gems: Lizalfos Mask.
- Three Gems: x5 Ice-Breath Lizalfos Tail.
- Four Gems: Mystic Trousers
- Four Gems: White-Maned Lynel Mace Horn (40 fuse power)
- Four Gems: = Horriblin mask
