How to Jump on Mechanical Wheels at the Beginning in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
In a true fashion of Zelda games, Tears of the Kingdom confuses players the very moment they start their adventure. And it does so via these massive mechanical wheels at the start of TOTK in the Room of Awakening. When you interact with the green shining symbol, you will activate the first teleport/fast travel spot. This one is called the Room of Awakening. Asides from activating the fast travel spot, you’ll also put the Spinning Wheels in motion. So, how to jump on these Mechanical Wheels at the beginning of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
WARNING: Minor spoilers from the first zone ahead! The thing is, you will be able to jump on these rotating mechanical wheels from the Room of Awakening. However, you will not be able to do this at the start of Zelda TOTK. Namely, you will need to complete almost the complete first zone of the game – Great Sky Island. When you complete the third Shrine in the area – Gutanbac – you’ll get the Ascend ability. And when you finally reach the Temple of Time, you’ll get the Recall ability.
Without spoiling too much, these two abilities will eventually allow you to jump on the Mechanical Wheels you saw at the beginning in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The game’s story will naturally bring you back here as you progress. You’ll use Ascend to get on the top of a small platform to the right of the wheels. And from there, you’ll use the Recall ability to turn the wheels in opposite directions and move across them. Eventually, you’ll reach the fourth and final Shrine here, the Nachoyah Shrine.
