How to Co-Op in Dying Light Enhanced Edition, Multiplayer Option
Normally, to use the multiplayer option and play Dying Light Enhanced Edition in co-op, you first have to play through the first complete the tutorial. Once you get to the quest called “First Assignment,” you should be good to go. From there, you need to go to the main menu and into Options. Navigate to the Online option, then Game Type, and set it to whatever you want. You should now be able to either invite friends in, or matchmake with strangers, whichever you want to do. The problem is that, at the moment, the servers are pretty congested. This is because the game is currently free on the Epic Store, which means there’s a lot more traffic than usual.
That’s the most likely reason you are having trouble playing Dying Light Enhanced Edition in co-op right now. You can’t really do much to fix it aside from exiting the session and then going back in. You might have to turn the game off completely and then go back in. Keep trying, it will work eventually. Whenever a game with a multiplayer aspect goes free on the Epic Games Store, it always leads to server trouble. The sudden influx of players shakes things up a little, but it’ll level out in time.
