Diablo 4 Skipping Cutscenes Explained
Skipping cutscenes in Diablo 4 is a mechanic that allows you to, well, skip the cinematics. However, it’s not working properly at the moment, especially on PC. People are pressing Esc and the scene refuses to stop playing. So, what exactly is going on and what can you do to fix it? Why can’t you skip cutscenes in this thing? Well, let’s find out what’s going on.
How to Skip Cutscenes in Diablo 4
To skip cutscenes in Diablo 4, you simply need to hit Escape, but it seems like the skipping “mechanic” is not working as intended. Hitting Esc just refuses to end the cinematic, forcing you to watch the whole thing in its entirety. I was tempted to make a sarcastic joke here, but it is a pain to have to sit through a short film you don’t want to watch. Fortunately, the fix seems to be pretty easy: Press and hold Esc until the cutscene stops playing. That works in pretty much every case, if the fan community is to be believed. Another apparent solution is to hit Alt+Esc and then go back into the game.
And there you have it, that’s how the cutscene skipping works in Diablo 4 at the moment. If experience this problem, you should let the developers know.
