Tchia 60 FPS on PS5 Explained
Tchia is a new action-adventure game in which the titular character is tasked with exploring a lush tropical archipelago in search of her missing father. The game is absolutely gorgeous to look at, which is why many PlayStation 5 players are wondering why it is running at 30 FPS by default. Where is the option to set it to 60 FPS? Is this option even available in the game at all? We are going to answer all of these questions and more in our Tchia 60 FPS on PS5 Explained guide.
How to Get 60 FPS in Tchia on PS5
The short answer here is – you can’t. The game has been designed to run at 30 FPS (or lower) and the option to get it up to 60 FPS is not available. But why is this the case? Well, the team behind the game is very small – about a dozen individuals or so – and getting a game that both looks good, is well-optimized, and runs at 60 FPS or above can be a daunting task for much bigger teams, let alone such a small crew. Of course, it’s always possible that the team is going to add a 60 FPS option later on. While this is by no means a sure thing, if the game is successful enough, it could be something that’s done in some future update.
But, as of right now, the 60 FPS on the PS5 is simply not there. We’d argue that the game’s stylized graphics work well enough even at 30 FPS, and that the game doesn’t necessarily need 60 FPS. It is perfectly playable right now, and the action isn’t the kind that requires all those extra frames per second in order to work. In any case, we hope that, even though Tchia doesn’t run at 60 FPS on the PS5, you will still give the game a chance regardless of that.
