Have Science Baby in Sims 4 Explained

First, let’s see what a Science Baby is. To translate this from Sims terms into real-life terminology, a Science Baby is a surrogate pregnancy. As such, it is comparable to adoption, though with several key differences. There are several ways you can go about this. You can either “Have Science Baby as Single Parent”, or “Have Science Baby with ____”. Whichever option you choose will result in the Sim in question leaving the gameworld for a period of time, and when they return – they will have a brand-new baby with them. This completely skips the usual pregnancy phase.

The second option allows you to ask to have a Science Baby in The Sims 4 with another Sim that you are on friendly terms with. This relationship can be perfectly platonic, it doesn’t need to be romantic. The only requirements are that the Sim in question is an adult, that they are not related to you, that you have a good relationship with them, and that you have 1200 Simoleon to pay for the procedure. The great thing about this new option is that it allows you to mix your genetics with a fellow Sim that you are only friends with.
