Hogwarts Legacy Multiplayer Explained
In our Hogwarts Legacy Multiplayer Explained guide, we are going to cover everything we know on the subject. I’m sure there will be many of you that will want to live through the magic with friends. So, will you be able to do so at all? And if so, how would you go about it? Let’s find out!
Multiplayer in Hogwarts Legacy
According to the game’s official FAQ, Hogwarts Legacy won’t have multiplayer. It’s all right there in black and white: “Hogwarts Legacy is a single player experience and does not have online or co-op gameplay.” So, if you’ve been hoping to explore Hogwarts and the surrounding areas with other real people, well, you can forget about it. Which is a bummer, I’m not going to deny, but that’s not to say you’ll be alone on your journey. You’ll get to meet plenty of NPCs, and some of them you’ll be able to befriend, perhaps even to the point of them becoming your companions. Granted, that’s not even close to being the same experience as living through the magic with a real person, but that’s just how the cookie crumbles.
So, there you go, that’s the bad news regarding multiplayer in Hogwarts Legacy. Based on the wording of the FAQ, I don’t think that it will ever be a feature, either. Usually, when the developers plan to add multiplayer in a future update, they say things like “we won’t have multiplayer on launch” or something to that effect. Here, it seems pretty categorical that the option to play with real people is just not in the cards. I suppose anything is possible on a long enough timeline, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Either way, we’ll be covering the game with more guides once it comes out, so stay tuned!
