How to Get Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To catch and get a Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you have to approach it very carefully. If you come too close, or they see or hear you coming, they will duck their heads under the sand. It can be very annoying. So, what you need to do is either sneak up on them by walking stealthily, or initiate the fight with them from a distance. For the latter, you need to be pretty precise. However, you can probably pull it off with a little bit of practice. That’s how we did it, anyway. If you prefer to sneak, by all means. Wigletts can be found at several different beaches in Paldea, right at the edge of the water. You can see where they generally live in the screenshot below.

And there you have it, that’s where you can find the locations of and how to catch a Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The new wormy Water-type Pokemon is a water version of Diglett, as you’ve probably already guessed. They are basically identical but for their type. A Wiglett evolves into Wugtrio when it reaches level 26. And, considering that you can get them fairly early on, it’s not a bad Water-type to use in the beginning stages. If you don’t choose Quaxly as your starter Pokemon, that is. Later on, when you get your hands on Gyarados and similar Water beasts, you can safely ditch Wiglett / Wugtrio.
