Change Pokemon Nature Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Every Pokemon has a nature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This Nature determines how their stats will grow. As such, knowing how to change Pokemon Nature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is very useful and something that all Trainers need to be aware of. In this guide, we are going to cover the entire process – explain how Pokemon Natures work, as well as how to change them, and the pros and cons of doing so.
How to Change Pokemon Nature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
In order to change your Pokemon Nature in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, you need to obtain Mint. This is a special item that you can get. Once you have some, the next step is to give it to the Pokemon that you want to change the nature of. Doing this will cause one of their five stats (Special Attack, Attack, Special Defense, Defense, and Speed) to increase by 10 and another one of these stats to decrease by 10. As such, you need to take special consideration of the Pokemon that you want to change and both the stat that is going to increase and the one that will decrease.
There are several types of Mint in the game, and all of them have different effects on your Pokemon. For example, the Hasty Mint will increase the Speed stat of the Pokemon that it is used on, while at the same time lowering its Defense stat. This means that it is best used on a Pokemon that relies on its Speed more than it does on its Defense. Alternatively, you can use it on a slow Pokemon to give it a much-needed boost in haste. There are many possibilities that you need to consider here. We have a separate guide on Mint locations in the game and we recommend that you check it out to see where you can find the various Mints in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and what they do.
