God of War Ragnarok Frozen Flame Locations
God of War Ragnarok carries over many of the upgrade materials and collectibles from the previous GoW game. One of the most important upgrade materials in the entire game is none other than Frozen Flame. As its name suggests, this is used to upgrade your trusty – and frosty – Leviathan Axe. Though, naturally, in order to be able to do this, you will first need to find enough Frozen Flame. To help you upgrade your Leviathan Axe to max level, we have the full list of all the Frozen Flame locations in God of War Ragnarok right here.
How to Get Frozen Flames in God of War Ragnarok
Generally, you get Frozen Flame from defeating powerful bosses in God of War Ragnarok during the course of the main story. You will get the first Frozen Flame when you have put down The Huntress, a centaur-like boss in the Lower Wildwoods in Midgard. The next Frozen Flame is obtainable in The Temple of Light in Alfheim. But to get it, you will first need to take out Alva, a powerful dual sword-wielding Light Elf champion.
You will gain the third Frozen Flame once you kill the Nidhogg. This fearsome creature can be found in The Abandoned Village in Vanaheim. And the fourth Frozen Flame is found in the Strond in Alfheim. Again, we have to note that you won’t be able to simply rush and collect all of these right from the start. GoW Ragnarok simply isn’t designed that way. Our advice is to relax and enjoy the story and gameplay, and you will come across these simply by playing the game. We also have similar guides on where and how to find Chaos Flame, as well as Chaos Sparks, so we recommend that you read those too if you want to know how to upgrade your Blades of Chaos.
