Pokemon GO Shuppet Spotlight Hour

The Shuppet Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO will make that particular Pokemon, including its shiny version, spawn more often in the wild. As is always the case, the mini-event is going to kick off on Tuesday at 6 PM and end at 7 PM local server time. In this case, the exact date will be October 25th. Of course, there’s also the event bonus, which this week is going to be double evolution XP. You will get twice the XP for every Pokemon you evolve during the event. This goes for any Pokemon, mind you, not just Shuppet. However, Shuppet is still the star of the show.

Can Shuppet be Shiny?

Yes, Shuppet can indeed be shiny in Pokemon GO, so you can use the Spotlight Hour to try and farm some of them. As you can see in the image above, the shiny Shuppet is a bright greenish-blue while the regular one is more of a shade of purple. So, fortunately, it shouldn’t be too difficult to tell them apart, assuming that there’s nothing off with your color vision. If you catch and send enough Shuppets to the professor, you can even evolve a shiny Banette. The double evolution XP should work just fine as an extra incentive, I’m sure. Oh, and one more thing we need to add: Mega Banette will be featuring in Mega Raids from from October 20th to November 8th.
