The four titular Gotham Knights are a team of superheroes that trained closely under Batman, and they represent the best of his skills and abilities. But which character is the best starting choice? Well, it depends. But most important of all – what sort of playstyle you are going for? So let’s see what each of these characters is good at.

If you have loved the stealth playstyle of Batman in the Arkham trilogy, then Robin (Tim Drake) is the perfect choice for you. Robin’s abilities focus on all aspects of stealth – from not being seen, to stealthy takedowns. In combat, he uses his Bo staff in melee, a slingshot for ranged, and a variety of gadgets. Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) is probably the most similar to Batman’s combat style. She focuses on single-target DPS, and uses a blend of martial arts with her nightstick and batarangs. Quick, quiet, and lethal, pick her if you enjoyed Arkham’s combat and want something as close to it as possible.

Red Hood (Jason Todd) is by far the most brutal of the Gotham Knights. He uses his raw strength, a pair of (non-lethal) pistols, as well as mystical powers he got from his resurrection (it’s a long story) to take out his foes. Red Hood is the best character selection pick if you enjoy beating your enemies into submission. Finally, Nightwing (Dick Grayson). The original Robin, he has since moved on to forge a new superhero persona. However, this doesn’t mean that he forgot what Bruce Wayne taught him. A natural-born leader, he is the most agile out of the four, and he incorporates a lot of acrobatics into his fighting style. Being the leader of the Gotham Knights, he can also buff himself and others, making them even more effective. If you enjoy playing as a strong and charismatic leader, Nightwing could be the best main character for you.
