How to Activate Wolfscent in Fortnite

The Fortnite Fortnitemares 2022 Halloween event is all about being feral. And to show your ferocity you’ll get a mighty pair of claws. Like a true werewolf, once you transform, your senses and strength will amplify. But enough about that, let’s see how to use these claws and complete the “Hit an Opponent While Wolfscent is Active” challenge. Below, we list step-by-step what you need to do:

  • Step on one of the Reality Tree’s Alteration Altars.
  • Perform the Ritual Emote.
  • You will be granted the Howler Claws once the ritual is complete.
  • To use the Wolfscent ability, it first needs to be fully charged.
  • Once charged press the L2 button on PlayStation or LT on Xbox(or the equivalent on other systems) to activate the Wolfscent ability.

And that’s it. Now when you have it activated, you will be able to use the Slash (a four-combo melee attack) or Air Slash (a double-jump that damages opponents upon landing) abilities to attack your opponents. And by doing so, you will complete the “Hit an Opponent While Wolfscent is Active” challenge. So there you have it, that’s how you activate Wolfscent and use its abilities.
