Where to Find Alteration Altar to Get Howler Claws in Fortnite

To find the Alteration Altar, aka the place you need to dance in order to get the Howler Claws in Fortnite, you need to go to the southern part of the map. More specifically, you have to get your butt down to the northern edge of Flutter Barn. If you open the map, you should see an icon in the shape of a hexagon with three circles on its edges. That’s where you want to go. Take a look at the screenshot below to see exactly where this place is. In the game itself, it looks like three connected hexagons with a smaller one in the middle. You need to step onto the smaller hexagon and then follow the prompts. Dance like you’ve never danced before and enjoy the visual spectacle.

So, there you have it, that’s where you find the Alteration Altar you need to dance on and get the Howler Claws in Fortnite. Aside from the fact that this is a challenge you need to complete, doing this also grants you some pretty cool powers. For one, the Howler Claws have the Slash Ability, which lets you perform a four-hit combo. There’s also the Air Slash Ability, which is basically a double jump that damages enemies on landing. On top of that, you have the Wolfscent Ability. When used, it gives you tracking vision which repeatedly marks all enemies in the radius. If no one is in the radius, it goes on automatic cooldown. It’s preceded with an ominous howl, and I consider that a really nice touch.
