One of the most important reasons why we play online shooters is that we can play them together with our friends. Regardless if we are on the same team and working together, or on different teams and playing against each other, one thing is sure – all of us are going to have a lot of fun playing. Of course, CoD Modern Warfare 2 is no different in this regard. But what to do if you do not know how to add friends? Or, what to do if your friends appear to be offline? How to Play with Friends on Playstation, Xbox, Steam in CoD Modern Warfare 2
The first step is to add friends. If you are playing on PS or Xbox, press the Start button while in the game. And if you are playing on Steam, look to the top-right corner of the screen, next to your multiplayer rank. Next, press “Social”, and from there go to “Friends”. Finally, select the “Add Friends” option. You can now add your friends that are on the same platform or those that are playing CoD Modern Warfare 2 on a different platform from you. The friends that are not playing CoD MW2 on the same platform are under the “Activision friends” category.
To add them, you will need to enter your Activision ID. If you do not know your ID, you can find it by going to Settings and then “Account & Network”. A common problem that can happen is that your friends appear to be offline – even when they are not. If you know for a fact that they are online, then you can safely disregard this – it will work when you send them an invite, despite the game claiming that they are offline. To invite them, go to the “Social” tab and select the “Hub” tab. From there, choose “Your Party” and then the “Invite to Party” option and select a friend that you want to play with from the list.
