A Raid Hour in Pokemon GO featuring Kartana and Celesteela is almost here. During that hour, you are going to have a much higher chance of encountering both of these Pokemon. Kartana, known as the Drawn Sword Pokemon, is a Grass / Steel dual-type, while Celesteela (aka – the Launch Pokemon) is a Steel / Flying dual-type. They are part of the Ultra Beasts, a group of extradimensional Pokemon hailing from Ultra Space. As such, they are very powerful, and you will definitely want to get both of them. But can Kartana and Celesteela be Shiny in Pokemon GO 2022? That’s what we’re here to find out.

Can Kartana and Celesteela be Shiny in Pokemon GO 2022

To give a very short answer – no, they cannot be Shiny. The Celesteela and Kartana Raid Hour is scheduled to start on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022, at 6 PM your Local Time, and last for an hour, until 7 PM your local time. During that hour, you are going to have a significantly increased chance of catching both Kartana and Celesteela in Pokemon GO. Kartana is vulnerable to Fighting, and especially to Fire moves, so you should use these when going up against it. And Celesteela is equally susceptible to both Fire and Electric moves.

Now, as we have already mentioned, you cannot get either of these in a Shiny variant. So you should not waste your time and energy trying to grind for a Shiny version of these two Pokemon. Of course, this is only the case right now. There is a strong possibility that a Shiny Kartana and a Shiny Celesteela are going to be added to Pokemon GO sometime in the future. But, as of the time of writing this guide, Shiny versions of these two simply do not yet exist in the game.
