Shiny Inkay in Pokemon GO 2022
Inkay is a Dark / Psychic dual-type Pokemon. First introduced in Generation VI, it recently made its debut in Pokemon GO. Known as the Revolving Pokemon, Inkay looks like a cute little blue squid. And now’s the perfect chance to get your hands on one, since there is an upcoming Limited Research that is focusing on Inkay. But can Inkay be shiny and can you catch a shiny Inkay during this Limited Research? We are going to answer all of those questions and more in our Shiny Inkay in Pokemon GO 2022 guide.
How to Catch Shiny Inkay in Pokemon GO
First off, let’s see when the Inkay Limited Research is going to take place. It is scheduled to start this Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, at 11 AM your Local Time and last until Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, at 2 PM your Local Time. During these several hours, you will receive 2× Candy for catching Pokemon, as well as an increased chance of encountering Inkay – including a Shiny Inkay! Of course, just like with every Shiny version of a Pokemon, the odds of getting it in a Shiny variant are low, so don’t forget to have an Incense Lure active in order to improve your chances of encountering a Shiny one. Apart from Inkay, other Pokemon are also going to see an increase in their spawn rates during this event. These are:
- Alolan Rattata (can be Shiny).
- Murkrow (can be Shiny).
- Houndour (can be Shiny).
- Poochyena (can be Shiny).
- Nuzleaf.
- Sableye (can be Shiny).
- Purrloin.
- Galarian Zigzagoon (can be Shiny).
As a Dark / Psychic dual-type, Inkay is resistant to Psychic moves. On the other hand, it is vulnerable to Fairy, and particularly to Bug moves. It has Peck (Normal) and Tackle (Flying) as its Quick Moves, and Psybeam (Psychic) and Night Slash (Dark) as its Main Moves.
