Pokemon GO Hisuian Voltorb Spotlight Hour

The August 2022 Pokemon GO Hisuian Voltorb Spotlight Hour is going to take place on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022, from 6 PM to 7 PM local server time. That’s the standard for these mini-events, of course. In the span of that hour, the Hisuian version of Voltorb will spawn more often. Like all other Spotlight Hours, this one will offer a special bonus while the event lasts, and this week, it’s double Catch Startdust. That means you’ll get twice the Stardust for every Pokemon you catch. Personally, that’s the most boring bonus in the world, aside from maybe double Transfer Stardust. Then again, if you’re low on that particular resource for whatever reason, then here’s your chance to stock up.

Can Hisuian Voltorb Be Shiny?

At time of writing, the Hisuian Voltorb cannot be shiny in Pokemon GO, but that doesn’t mean that the August 2022 Spotlight Hour isn’t going to surprise us. Maybe Niantic is going to release a shiny variant of the Voltorb from the past specifically during the mini-event, who knows? I wouldn’t hold my breath, of course; that’s highly unlikely to happen. Be that as it may, having a Hisuian Pokemon as a star of the Spotlight Hour should be enough of a reason to participate. Not to mention that the ongoing Hisuian Discoveries event should already have you trawling your neighborhood in the hunt for other new versions of existing Pokemon. You can check out the official event announcement if you need more info.
