How to Get Umbreon in Pokemon GO 2022

There are several ways to get Umbreon in Pokemon GO in 2022. One of them is to encounter it in a Raid, defeat it, and then capture it. Obviously, this isn’t exactly the most reliable method. The second way is to evolve Eevee into Umbreon using the name trick. Catch an Eevee and change its nickname to Tamao. Then, place it as your Buddy Pokemon and walk 10 kilometers. When that’s done, give it 25 Eevee Candies, and you’ll get Umbreon. Mind you, this only works once per account. So, if you want to evolve more Umbreons, you’ll have to do it the legitimate way. That’s actually not that big of a departure from the nickname trick, but you do have to know what you’re doing.

To get Umbreon in Pokemon GO in 2022 the legitimate way, aka without using the name trick, the first step is to set an Eevee as your Buddy Pokemon and keep it there throughout the whole process. Then, walk with it for ten kilometers. That part is exactly the same. Once that’s over with, you have to wait for night to fall. Basically, any point in time after it gets dark in the game should work, but it’s probably best to wait until, say, 10 PM just to be safe. When the time is right, give the Eevee you walked with the 25 Candies and it should evolve into Umbreon if you’ve done everything right. By the way, if you do all this and evolve Eevee during the day, you’ll get Espeon instead.
