Shiny Meltan Pokemon GO 2023
The upcoming Let’s GO event will be a great opportunity to get a shiny Meltan in Pokemon GO in 2023. It will take place from March 21st at 10 AM local time to March 29th at 8 PM local time. During the event, among other things, the waiting time to open the Mystery Box will be reduced. Not only that, but the odds of finding an XXS and XXL Meltan will also be increased. That’s not important for this guide, but I though it’d be interesting to bring up. The point is, if you have to wait less to open the Mystery Box, that also means you’ll get more chances to score a shiny Meltan. Be sure to make the most of it! If you have no idea what’s going on and what this box I’m talking about is, allow me to bring you up to speed.
How to Get Mystery Box Pokemon GO
To get the Mystery Box in Pokemon GO and hopefully get a shiny Meltan, you need to transfer Pokemon from this game to either Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee or to the Pokemon HOME app. We’ve covered the former previously, so let’s focus on the latter. First, download and open the Pokemon HOME app. When prompted, link it with your Pokemon GO account. Then, simply transfer absolutely any Pokemon you want from GO to HOME. Just one will suffice. Then, open Pokemon GO, and you should find a Mystery Box, or Meltan Box, in your inventory. Open it up, and a number of Meltan will spawn in the next sixty minutes.
And that’s how you get Meltan in Pokemon GO, and pray that at least one of them is going to be shiny. If not, well, you can always repeat the process and try again. The catch is, you’ll only be able to do all this during the event. On the bright side, you won’t have to wait a full week to give it another go.
