The Pokemon GO Wingull Spotlight Hour is set to begin this Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, at 6 PM Local Time. It will last for an hour and conclude on the same day, at 7 PM Local Time. Besides increased Wingull spawns, during this Spotlight Hour, you will also earn x2 Catch Candy.
Can Wingull Be Shiny?
Luckily for all of you Shiny hunters, yes, Wingull can indeed be Shiny. The odds of you getting a Shiny Wingull are not particularly high (as they never are), but since so many Wingulls are going to spawn during the SH, you have a much better chance of getting a Shiny one than you normally would. The Shiny version has green stripes on its wings instead of the usual blue, so you will be able to tell it apart easily. To get Wingull to evolve into Pelipper, you will need 50 Candy.
Wingull Weakness
Wingull is resistant to Fighting, Bug, Steel, Fire, Water moves (all of which deal just 63% damage to it), and especially to Ground moves (these deal only 39%). So it’s advisable that you don’t employ these when battling it. On the other hand, Wingull is weak to Rock moves (+160%), and by far the best move type to use against it is Electric, since these moves deal a whopping 256% damage to it.
