If you’re having trouble figuring out how to catch Gloom and Weepinbell in Pokemon GO Sustainability Week collection challenge, you’re not the only one. You need a specific item before those two will even show their faces. And even then, there’s no guarantee you’ll get both Weepinbell and Gloom. It’s all a bit of a mess, to be honest. To catch Gloom and Weepinbell in the Pokemon GO Sustainability Week collection challenge, you need a Mossy Lure. Here are the basics, though – you won’t really be able to bring Weepinbell and Gloom out of “hiding” during the event without one of those. Fortunately, you get one in the free event box in the store, but other than that, you have to buy them for 200 Coins a pop. Now, one lure might not be enough to attract both Pokemon you need. To circumvent that, we recommend going to a busy area and seeing whether someone has already placed a Mossy Lure at a PokeStop, or teaming up with friends so that you all get the maximum of the lures you have.

So, yeah, that’s how you catch Gloom and Weepinbell in Pokemon GO, at least for the Sustainability Week collection challenge. It’s definitely a little clunky and not that well thought-out by the developers, but it is what it is. Maybe it’s intentional and they want to get players to purchase Mossy Lures, preferably with real money, who knows. Either way, the challenge requires catching six Pokemon; aside from Weepinbell and Gloom, you also need Grimer, Cherubi, Grotle and Trubbish.
