Popular esports organisation G2 Esports has just announced its brand new business venture. The European esports powerhouse team is opening a fast-food chain named G2GO. This first-ever esports fast-food chain is set to launch later this year. Here’s everything we know about it, including locations, when will it open, what food it will serve, and more.

Some might say that esports and fast food go hand in hand, but that would be in bad taste (no pun intended). Non the less, the highly popular esports organisation G2 Esports has decided to surprise their fans with an interesting new idea. The Berlin-based org has just announced its plans to open a fast-food chain named G2GO.

No, that’s not an early April Fool’s joke, it’s a real thing. Fans will be able to visit several locations and taste various dishes “flipped by professionals”, as the slogan says. For this occasion, G2 Esports has partnered with Seasonic, which will operate the chain.

“In a lot of ways it’s crazy we didn’t do this earlier, gaming and food are a perfect marriage. There’s no better way to connect with fans than by filling stomachs while we work to fill our trophy case” says Carlos Rodriguez, G2 Esports Founder and CEO, in the official announcement.

At the moment, not many details have been revealed about the chain. We know that the initial plans include 8 G2GO restaurants. The exact locations are yet to be revealed, but we expect them across both Europe and North America. The grand opening is set for September 2022 according to the current plans. When it comes to dishes that will be served in G2GO restaurants, the announcement teases a few of them. Their names are playful references to some of the most memorable moments in the organization’s history. Including both positive and negative, such as:

• Missing Spears (G2’s take on the classic Shashlik)
• The 0-3 meal
