Pokemon GO Paras Spotlight Hour

The Pokemon GO Paras Spotlight Hour is going to take place on Tuesday, March 29th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time. So, the usual time and day of the week; nothing to write home about there. During this time, Paras is going to spawn much more often than usual, and some of them may or may not be Shiny (more on that in the next section). The bonus this week is double Catch Candy, meaning that you’ll earn twice the Candy of each Pokemon you capture. Add some Pinap Berries to the mix and you’ll have more evolution materials than you know what to do with. Save them for whichever upcoming Spotlight Hour offers double Evolution XP.

Can Paras be Shiny?

Yes, Paras can be Shiny in Pokemon GO, and you’ll have a good chance of catching one during the March 2022 Spotlight Hour. Or more than one, if you’re lucky. A Shiny Paras is a darker orange than the regular version, almost to the point of being bright red. The mushrooms on its back are also way closer to red than their usual pale pinkish color. Even the yellow spots seem more vibrant. What I’m saying is, you’ll probably spot a Shiny Paras pretty easily, and you’ll know that it’s not a regular mushroom crab. If you need one of them, and/or want to eventually evolve a Shiny Parasect, the Spotlight Hour will be a pretty good time to do so.
