Nintendo eShop Error Code 2813-9404 Explained

The Nintendo eShop error code 2813-9404 is a problem that, according to official Nintendo Support, happens when there’s “a temporary issue or outage on Nintendo eShop.” In other words, if you get this error, there’s not much you can do about it. You can check the Network Maintenance page to see whether there’s planned maintenance going on, or perhaps a server outage of some sort. Just wait until whatever is happening to wrap up, and you should be good to go. If, on the other hand, there is no outage, but you’re still experiencing the error, you might have to restart your console or contact Nintendo’s support. Other than that, aside from maybe rebooting your Switch, there’s not much else for you to do.

That’s about all there is to know about the Nintendo eShop 2813-9404 error code. If you have any more info that we’ve missed, let us know in the comments. One thing that we do have to mention before we close, and that’s error code 9001-0026. It seems to appear along with 2813-9404 sometimes. Now, 9001-0026 indicates that “our Nintendo Account has not accessed the Nintendo eShop from a Nintendo Switch console.” In other words, you’re trying to use an account that’s not connected to a Switch to purchase something for the Switch. Nintendo doesn’t allow that. You have to be signed into the eShop with an account that’s linked to a Switch. In other words, that error is at least easy to fix once you know what the problem is.
