How to Use Law of Regression Elden Ring
Some of you might be wondering how to use the Law of Regression in Elden Ring, and I don’t blame you. Especially if you’ve been playing a fighter rather than a spell-caster. Thing is, you can’t cast this Incantation if you don’t have what it takes. That’s why we’ve put together this guide, in which we’ll show you how to cast the Elden Ring Law of Regression.
How to Cast Law of Regression Elden Ring
To use or cast the Law of Regression incantation in Elden Ring, you need to meet two requirements. The first one is to have a Sacred Seal. Without one of these, you can’t use any incantations at all. Those of you that focus on using these faith-based spells already know this, but if you’re more of a melee person, you might not. For more info, check out our How to Use Incantations guide. The second requirement is to have an Intelligence score of at least 40. That’s a pretty brutal threshold to meet, especially if that has been your dump stat.
There are two ways you can get around this. One is to respec by using a Larval Tear. We cover the whole process in our Elden Ring Reset Stats, How To Respec, Larval Tear Locations guide. Word of warning, though, there are some necessary spoilers in there. The other way to use and cast the Elden Ring Law of Regression if your Intelligence score is too low is to equip as many Intelligence-boosting items as you can get your hands on. These include the Twinsage Glintstone Crown (as covered in our Converted Fringe Tower Puzzle guide), Godrick’s Great Rune, Stargazer Heirloom, drinking the Intelligence-Knot Crystal Tear from the Flask of Wondrous Physick, etc.
If you’re wondering why the Law of Regression is even so important, it’s because it’s necessary to complete Corhyn’s questline. Without getting into any major spoilers, you need to use the incantation at a specific place in Leyndell to reveal a secret and further the quest. Completing the whole line grants you an item which you can use to get one of the many endings in Elden Ring.
Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
