Elden Ring Vyke Not Invading Bug
The Elden Ring Vyke not invading bug is a glitch that you can come across while doing the quests from Hyetta. This enemy, whose full name is Festering Fingerprint Vyke, appears as an invader that drops an item you need for the mission. Pretty straightforward, unless the enemy refuses to appear. So, is there anything you can do about it? does it affect the game in any significant way? Let’s find out.
Vyke Not Invading Bug in Elden Ring
The Elden Ring Vyke not invading bug can happen during the Hyetta quest line. In one of the steps, she asks you to bring her a Fingerprint Grape from Festering Fingerprint Vyke. She also tells you that he’s somewhere around the Church of Inhibition. And that’s true enough; we’ll show you where he’s supposed to appear in the screenshots below. You go there, Vyke spawns, you kill them while somehow staving off the constant Madness (which Vyke is also vulnerable to), they drop the grape and some other stuff. Take the grape to Hyetta and move on to the next step. Sounds simple enough, if difficult to execute. Unfortunately, that’s where the glitch can come in. Fortunately, this quest has zero effect on the main story and the ending you get, so you can skip it without much grief.
If the Vyke not invading bug in Elden Ring hits you, the enemy will just refuse to appear. Worse still, there doesn’t seem to be a way to circumvent it. I’ve seen people mention that it might happen if you defeat bosses in the general area before taking the quest, and so going back to an earlier save might help. That wasn’t the case for us. We defeated a bunch of local bosses before grabbing the quest, and Vyke spawned normally. On the other hand, on a different save, he just wouldn’t appear, even though we didn’t beat any of the bosses. Nothing we tried to fix it worked. It seems we’ll have to wait for the devs to take care of it. If you know of any workarounds, let us know in the comments below.
Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
Good that someone has brought attention to this. It’s pretty much confirmed at this point that the bug is completely random, similar thing happens with Henricus NPC invader.
Yeah this happened to me and its incredibly frustrating since this character was supposed to be my completionist character and it happened 35 hours into the save. Hope they fix this ffs.
