Warmaster's Shack Elden Ring, Location & What to do

Finding the Warmaster’s Shack in Elden Ring is of utmost priority. The Warmaster’s Shack is a very important location to be discovered early in the game, as it will grant you access to one of the key gameplay mechanics – Ashes of War. But that’s not all that is hidden beneath the dilapidated roof of this barely standing shack. In this guide, we will explain where to find the Warmaster’s Shack in Elden Ring and what can you do inside.

How to Get to Warmaster’s Shack in Elden Ring

Unlike many other places in Elden Ring, the Warmaster’s Shack is not that hard to find. The Warmaster’s Shack is located in Stormhill, the northwest area of Limgrave. It’s located directly north of Stormgate, which you’ll need to cross in order to enter Stormhill. Check out our map below for the exact location. You’ll recognize the Shack immediately, as it is a barely standing object that’s missing its whole front wall. Once you find Warmaster’s Shack, here’s what you can do there.

What to do in Elden Ring Warmaster’s Shack

The most important reason to find the Warmaster’s Shack is Knight Bernahl. He’ll bestow upon you an ability to use Ashes of War. He will also serve as Ash of War merchant, and you will be able to purchase all kinds of Ashes from him. Later on, you’ll meet him again in the Volcano Manor. Helping him there with some invasions will net you the Raging Wolf Set. But that’s not everything that’s going on in this seemingly inconspicuous cabin.

If you visit the Warmaster’s Shack at night, you’ll get to meet one of the hidden mini-bosses, the Bell Bearing Hunter. The Bell Bearing Hunter will only appear at night when you visit the Shack and use the site of grace there. He’ll then replace the merchant and you’ll need to fight him. Kill him, and you’ll be rewarded with a handful of Runes and a Bone Peddler’s Bell Bearing. And don’t worry this doesn’t mean that Knight Bernahl is dead. He’ll be there the next time you visit the shack during the daytime.

Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures.
