While you will start with just one Pokemon species that allows you to quickly traverse the land, over the course of your adventures, you will unlock other Pokemon that will enable you to go over water – even fly. How to Ride a Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus

You will unlock this ability during “The Frenzy of the Lord of the Woods” quest. So, simply follow the main questline and you will reach this quest after a while. Mai and Adaman will then give you a Celestica Flute. You can use this item to summon rideable Pokemon by pressing the + button. The first Pokemon that you will be able to ride this way is Wyrdeer. While riding, press the Y button to jump, and the B button to quickly dash forward. You can also participate in races (the first Balloon race is right next to where you got the Wyrdeer) to practice your Pokemon riding skills. One last thing that we need to note here is that you are not able to ride these Pokemon while in Jubilife Village.

All Rideable Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus

These special Pokemon work very similarly to the Hidden Moves from other Pokemon games such as Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. This means that, once you unlock them, you can use them to access areas that were previously blocked for you. Here is a complete list of all the rideable Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:

  • Wyrdeer – The first such Pokemon that you will unlock. You can use it to quickly travel across land areas, just like the bike from Pokemon BDSP.
  • Basculegion – With this Pokemon, you can move across water areas.
  • Hisuian Braviary – This Psychic/Flying dual-type allows you to fly in the sky.
