Diablo 2 Resurrected developers Blizzard has announced the D2r 2.4 patch release date & time. This patch will bring a host of updates to the game. It will include balance changes to characters classes, new rune words and recipes. The purpose is for players to provide feedback before the updated game goes live. New gameplay additions will arrive on Tuesday, January 25th. An announcement is still pending on the exact times. As soon as it becomes available, we will update and let you readers know!
Within the hour, we will be bringing down the PTR online servers. This maintenance will assist us in preparing for tomorrow’s implementation of the new Patch 2.4 balance changes. The downtime will persist into tomorrow and end when we push the new PTR build live. (Hooley – Community Manager)
This is a PC only PTR. Anyone playing the current patch should note that character progression will get wiped when this arrives. It will happen as soon as the 2.4 patch enters the test realm.
As a test run, Blizzard is using this to gather information and that needs to come from players. Feedback is actively encouraged from the community of Diablo 2. Of course, that means the update won’t be perfect, to begin with. Expect outages, changes, and maintenance as this takes part. The types of new content that will get a focus are as follows:
New rune words will come to Diablo 2 Resurrected. Blizzard hopes they will be experimented with, and players will feed this back to them. You can try creating and socketing them in various types of gear.
New class balance changes seem to be the main focus. Each of the seven main classes will get balance changes to improve their viability. More skill variety and possibilities should be available for each one.
Added Horadic Cube recipes are also in store. Use them to complement set items. One focus Blizzard wants to hear feedback on is how they work together with the new set item improvements.
