Shelter Icarus How to Build Shelter
Icarus is a recently released open-world survival game. What sets it apart from most other such games is the fact that it takes place on an alien world. This means that some things work very differently than they do in similar titles. However, that isn’t to say that it also doesn’t possess many items and mechanics that we can encounter in most survival games. One of these is the staple of practically every survival game ever made. Of course, we’re talking about the Shelter. A place that will shield you from the cold and other such hazards, it’s one of the first things that you will want to create in Icarus. And, in our Shelter Icarus How to Build Shelter guide, we will show you how to do exactly that.
How to Build Shelter Icarus
To begin with, what you will first need to do is to gain enough experience so that you can level up. The reason for this is that you need to use skillpoints so that you can unlock the Thatch Floor and the Thatch Wall in your Tech Tree. Once you have leveled up, press P to enter the Tech Tree and select these. What you will need to do next is to gather enough crafting materials to make them.
The most basic Shelter requires two floor pieces and three wall pieces. Each piece requires x20 Fiber and x3 Sticks. So, you’ll need to collect 120 Fiber and 15 Sticks. The Fiber can be harvested from bushes, while the Sticks can be acquired from short trees. Press O to enter the crafting screen and craft these there. You can then drag and drop these into your hotbar down below. All that’s left is to find a nice place to build your Icarus Shelter and then set it up there.
