How to Beat Champion Cynthia in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Cynthia is a tough cookie as unlike the Elite Four, her Pokemon do not conform to one certain type. This means how to beat Cynthia involves having a wide range of attacks. You won’t beat her unless you exploit the weaknesses of the Pokemon she sends at you.
First out of the block will be Spiritomb. Its only real weaknesses are Fairy-type attacks, making your selection even harder. If you didn’t pack a fairy Pokemon, Dazzling Gleam on Haunter and Gengar can work. You can teach this using TM21. If you don’t finish Spiritomb in one attack, then it is likely to get withdrawn.
Next up are a level 63 Lucario and a level 60 Roserade. Both of these Pokemon are weak to fire, so get out your flaming attacks. The latter is also susceptible to ice attacks should you want to change to Palkia or Dialga.
Milotic Weakness in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
The next round comes to Gastrodon or Milotic. Both of these are susceptible to grass-type attacks. However, it is Milotic that tends to cause the most problems.
This Pokemon has a low attack but a high defense level. Its main weaknesses are grass and electric attacks. Your ideal attack is Grass Knot, which should wipe it out in one go. If it does not, then Spiritomb should return.
Your final challenge will be Garchomp. This is a powerful level 66 Pokemon, but it does have a major weakness to ice. Hammer it with Blizzard and it should not prove a problem, leaving you champion of the Sinnoh region.
