How to Get Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres Pokemon BDSP
How to get Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres in Pokemon BDSP is a post-game task. This means you need to complete the whole game before you have a chance to get these legendary Pokemon. Even then you need to do several tasks, making it seem like an extra game after the main story. However, it is a fairly easy process to complete. Read on as we discuss where to find Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres are the Kanto Trio. These legendary Pokemon arrived all the way back in 1996, in Pokemon Red and Blue. As Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl concentrate on the Sinnoh region, these Pokemon are not native to the area. However, the game does have a way to let you catch legendary Pokemon from previous games.
How to Get Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
You cannot get an encounter until you have completed the main game itself. This involves beating the Elite Four and Cynthia. You then need to get the National Dex to open up Ramanas Park. We have an in-depth guide on how to do this here.
Ramanas Park operates a little as Pal Park did in the previous Diamond and Pearl. You can visit the location and catch Pokemon from previous games. In BDSP, you often need to catch legendary Pokemon in a certain order to unlock others. This is true of Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres. Before you can get them, you need to unlock Regirock, Registeel, and Regice in the park. Visit our handy guide here to complete this.
Once you have the Regi Titan Trio, the process for the Kanto Trio is pretty much the same. You need to travel to the Grand Underground and mine for Mysterious Shards. You can trade these for a Kanto Slate at the reception area in Ramanas Park. One large shard or three smaller ones are the cost of each Kanto Slate, of which you will need three.
If you have these slates, travel to the Kanto Room. Each time your place a slate on one of the statues, you will get an encounter. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres should all be there waiting for you.
It is worth noting that the Kanto Trio is exclusive to Shining Pearl. If you have Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, you will follow a similar process but enter the Johto room. Entei, Suicine and Raikou are exclusive to this game, and you will need to trade if you want any of the trio.
