Where to Find Reaper Cloth in Pokemon BDSP

To find the Reaper Cloth in Pokemon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, you first need to become the Champion by defeating the Elite Four (it’s how you unlock the National Dex, too). This unlocks access to Battle Island, which is where the Cloth is. Once you have access to Battle Island, go to the Resort Area and head north from there. This will take you to Route 229. As soon as you see the sign for Route 229, hug the wall of trees on the right and head right as soon as you can. You’ll spot a gap between the trees blocked by a rock and a small sapling that you can cut. So, do just that and head into the gap. There, you’ll find a Pokeball in which the Reaper Cloth is.

Now that we know how to get the Reaper Cloth in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl or BDSP, some of you might be wondering what exactly it’s for. Well, it is a necessary ingredient for the evolution of Dusclops into Dusknoir. To do that, take a Dusclops and give it the Reaper Cloth. Then, find a friend (or willing stranger) that is down to trade with you (more on that in our How to Trade in Pokemon BDSP guide.). Give them the Dusclops in the trade and it will evolve into Dusknoir when they receive it. So, when performing this trade, make sure that the other party also has a Dusclops with a Reaper Cloth or are willing to give “yours” back.

The information, that becoming League Champion is required for getting the national dex is false.
You just need to have seen every of the 151 pokémon in the Sinnoh dex. I got the national dex before getting the 8th badge.
