How to Unlock Dinosaurs in JWE2
You may be quite surprised to find that jumping into Sandbox Mode, a title named Jurassic World features no dinosaurs. The reason is that you need to unlock everything from the beginning. Dinosaurs and buildings come through completing the modes and missions in the game.
Unlike the previous game, the Campaign Mode will only unlock a few dinosaurs. Chaos Theory Mode will unlock dinosaur specific skins. Challenge Mode is the easiest way to unlock items and brings the most rewards.
Start by going to research. From here you can begin research on the dinosaurs you want in the park. Once researched, you will open up a dig site on the main map. You can dig for fossils in these areas. Each dig site will cost a different amount of money depending on the dinosaur and area.
Once the dig is complete and the fossil arrives, you can extract them in the fossil centre. Access this by the menu at the top of the screen. Once extracted, you then need to synthesize the dinosaur. You don’t need 100% genome for this. Once complete, you can create them and release them into the park. They won’t unlock until they get released.

Some dig areas appear on the map, though they cannot be found in the standard research place. If you cannot unlock a dinosaur this way, then you probably need to do it in Chaos Mode or Campaign. All unlocked items are for use in sandbox mode.
You can check all dinosaurs by going into the Jurassic World Database. From here, you can go into dinosaurs and dinosaur genomes. By clicking, you will see the dinosaurs you have unlocked and the ones yet to unlock. For extra help, check out the video below by Swrve on Youtube.
