New Trailer for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Released

So, what are the major thing we can learn from the new Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl trailer? Well, first off, we meet two gym leaders, Candice and Volkner, and their two Pokemon, Abomasnow and Luxray. I assume they’ll become our friends once we defeat them.

Next, there’s Team Galactic, who seem to be the bad guys. There are four members; four of them are more like grunts, and they’re called Mars, Jupiter and Saturn (their Pokemon are Purugly, Skuntank and Toxicroak, respectively). The fourth member is the leader, Cyrus, whose Pokemon is Weavile. Apparently, Cyrus “detests human minds and emotions, finding them defective,” and he “speaks and acts with a calm, logical demeanor,” according to the press release. So, yeah, definitely the bad guys.

Lastly, we learn about this game’s Legendary Pokemon: Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. In the myths of the Sinnoh region, they are called the Being of Knowledge, the Being of Emotion, and the Being of Willpower, respectively. They live under the three lakes found in the region, called Lake Acuity, Lake Verity, and Lake Valor. The names of the lakes seem to correspond with the domains of the Legendary Pokemon, giving you clues as to which Pokemon is under which lake.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl are launching on Friday, November 19th, and it will only come out on the Nintendo Switch, of course. So, there’s a little less than a month left to wait. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer below to whet your appetite.
