Transfer Server New World - How to Transfer Character
In our How to Transfer Character – New World Server Transfer guide, we’ll aim to show you how this new system works. Basically, it lets you migrate your character to a new world (see what I did there), which is neat. You get to carry over most of your accomplishments, but not everything. Plus, there’s a series of steps that you have to complete before you can transfer your character. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to explain the process, since it is a little obtuse.
How to Transfer Character – New World Server Transfer
To transfer your New World character to a new server, you first need to log into the character you want to move. Yes, that does mean you’ll have to wait through any queues that might have formed. Next, leave your Company and remove all buy and sell orders you might have active at a Trading Post. Go to a sanctuary (aka a settlement or outpost). Open the in-game store and claim your Character Transfer Token from the World Transfer tab. Use it and select the server you want to move to. You can migrate to any world in your region, unless the world is full, under maintenance, or you already have a character in it.
When you move your character via the server transfer, you keep all of your character progression (level, weapon mastery, titles, etc.), inventory and storage, currency, houses and house decorations, and all quest progress. That’s basically everything, really. The only thing that doesn’t carry over is your friends list, because those are world-specific. Of course, your Company membership and Trading Post orders won’t transfer either, because you have to cancel them all before completing your character migration.
