Battlefield 2042 Open Beta QR Code – Early Access

Battlefield 2042 open beta is only available to those who have pre-ordered. Alternatively, those who are active EA play members are also eligible to take part. If you are not one of these, opening the game will bring up a QR code scanner. This will take you to the site where you can buy the game in advance for your relevant platform and play ahead of the release date. If you don’t want to do this, the game will release on the 8th of October, and you will have to wait until then.

Even when players have Battlefield 2042 on pre-order or should have open beta access through Xbox Ultimate or EA Play, problems are occurring. Many people are finding that the QR code indicating you need to pre-order is not going away. This makes access to the game impossible.

One fix is to update your Xbox or Microsoft Store. After this, download and install Battlefield 2042 once again. This should fix the QR code issue. The developers also stated that this issue would vanish once the servers are online from the 6th.

Of course, the message is still occurring even though that date has arrived. Despite tweets and updates from the developers, this issue is still in place for many. If you are still having this issue, you need to speak to EA Support and make them aware of the issue. Check back here for regular updates on the situation.
