How to Do Explosive Sprint in FIFA 22

To do the Explosive Sprint FIFA 22 speed boost, the first step is to deactivate the Analog Sprint option. Go into Settings and select the Customize Control option. Scroll down to Analog Sprint and turn it off. That way, you don’t have to think about how hard you’re pressing the shoulder button. Now, to actually execute the maneuver, let go of all buttons but the left stick and have your player run in a straight line. Then, when you see a defense player getting close to you, press R2/RT and your guy should get a burst of speed and easily outrun the opponent.

You can use this to get some distance from the defender, but also bait out a foul, which can be pretty useful. However, keep in mind that there is some sort of cooldown to the Explosive Sprint; you can just keep spamming it and break the game. But, yeah, that’s how to do the FIFA 22 Explosive Sprint speed boost – run in a straight line without pressing any other buttons, then hit RT/R2 when an opposing player comes close. Side note – you can apparently use the Explosive Sprint as a defender to keep up with an attacker that you’re close to.

That’s about all there is to it. If you need help with anything else in the game, we’ve got a number of other FIFA 22 guides for you to check out. For example, we’ve written articles like Best Starter Nation, How to See Record, and How to Complete Ones to Watch Shaqiri SBC.
