How to Use Photo Mode Kena Bridge of Spirits

To use the photo mode and take pictures in Kena Bridge of Spirits, all you have to do is press Up on the d-pad. The same system works to activate the photo mode on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Once you access the photo mode, you can take as many pictures as you please. When you take the first one, you’ll earn the “Say Cheese!” trophy, making it one of the easiest and earliest trophies that you can get. You don’t even have to do anything special with the picture, just take one and the trophy should pop.

Now, that’s not to say that you can’t do a lot with the pictures you take in Kena, because there sure is. There are the usual suspects of zooming in and out and rotating the camera to get the best angle and various filters and whatnot. On top of that, you can freeze a scene in place, but also turn the action back on, allowing the characters to move around. In the Kena Bridge of Spirits photo mode, the characters you’re aiming the camera at will look directly at it. If you press the “Cheese” button (X on PlayStation), they will smile and strike a pose. Keep pressing the button, and they’ll cycle through a variety of different poses.

To sum up, yes, the photo mode in Kena is just as aggressively adorable as everything else in the game, in that specific emotional-manipulation Pixar way. I fall for it every time.
