How to Scan Your Head in NBA 2K22 – Face Scan Tips

To scan your head/face in NBA 2K22, the first step is to download the MyNBA2K22 companion app to your mobile device. It’s already out on Android, and My NBA 2K22 App iOS should be available for iOS some time today. Sign into the app and click the “Face Scan” button. Now, before actually scanning your face, there are a few things you need to do. First off, make sure that the lighting is good and that your face has as little shadows as possible. Natural daylight would be ideal, but a well-lit room will do just as good. Also, we recommend placing your phone on a shelf that’s comfortably face-height and making sure that it’s nice and steady.

Now, remove glasses, hats, and any other face accessories. Look directly at the camera and fit your face as snuggly as you can into the oval. Move your face slowly at 30 degree angles so that the app gets you from all sides. Just follow the instructions, essentially. To scan your face and head in NBA 2K22, the app needs to get about 13 different angles of your face, and it will make a sound when it’s complete. If you’re not happy with the results, restart the scan. If you are happy, tap “upload images.”

Boot up NBA 2K22. Find and hit the “Scan your face” button. Click “Check for Head Scan Data” and wait for the download to finish. Click on the face scan avatar and edit the face if you want to. That’s basically all there is to it. If you do end up running into the “We were unable to find head scan data” error message, try going through the scanning process again.
