Timthetatman Signs Exclusive YouTube Contract

Timthetatman signs an exclusive contract with YouTube as of September 2nd. The announcement occurred on Twitter late on Thursday. He follows several content creators who have migrated to the platform. Twitch gave him a sendoff with a compilation of his gaming highlights. Also known by his civilian name, Timothy Betar, the streamer has built a strong following playing game such as Apex Legends and Warzone.  Timthetatman has cited family obligations as the reason he has signed this exclusive YouTube contract. He announced that his existing YouTube channel will show recordings of previous broadcasts. Separate YouTube channels across the site will contain extra edited videos and clips.

“When I started, I had no family obligations, and I could [stream] a lot of hours. The reality is, now that I’ve got my wife and my son, it’s hard for me to stream as much as I did beforehand.”

Timthetatman is not the only streamer to make sign an exclusive contract lately. DrLupo recently announced he would sign a similar deal. Both streamers had larger followings on Twitch, making this a big catch for YouTube.

Unlike Betar, DrLupo did not cite family commitments as his reason for the move. He aimed the reason for his move at the movement of Hate Raiding taking part on Twitch. In particular, he noted the platforms lack of response to it.

This is when streamers become subjected to barrages of hate. They are often sent by bots, while they stream live. It is unknown if Timthetatman also shared these reservations.

The announcement was made with the help of fellow YouTube streamer Courage. Timthetatman will be hosting a stream with several high-profile YouTubers to celebrate. These will include DrLupo himself, Courage and DrDisrespect.
