Diablo 2 Resurrected Beta Chat not Working
The chat not working in Diablo 2 Resurrected beta has been one of the major flaws of the previous testing period. It has caused quite a bit of ire among the players, and with good reason. The chat box was just a huge mess, which made playing the game in multiplayer nigh impossible unless you used a different service, like Discord. In this guide, we’ll show you what you can do to at least temporarily alleviate the problems with the Diablo 2 Resurrected chat.
Chat not Working Diablo 2 Resurrected
Before we get into the potential “solutions” for the Diablo 2 Resurrected chat not working in beta, there’s one important thing to note: I doubt these issues are going to persist. In fact, just because the closed beta was fraught with issues with the chat box doesn’t mean that the open beta will be the same. Also, I expect that the majority of the issues will be ironed out by the time the launch date rolls around in late September. So, with all of that said, what can you do if these problems persist into the next beta? Well, not much more than turn it off, kinda. But before we dive into that, just know that this is a beta. Some things are just not gonna work properly.
How to Turn Off Chat in Diablo 2 Resurrected
Technically speaking, you can’t really turn off the Diablo 2 Resurrected beta chat, but there is a way to make things a bit more manageable. You first need to press Enter to go into the chat box. Click the button at the top right, and change the option from “All” to “World.” This should at least get rid of the constant join messages. It might not work for everybody, but it’s worth a shot. Other than that, you can also press “N” to clear the chat temporarily, and just keep doing that every time it gets messy. Some people have even wrote scripts that press “N” for them periodically. It’s far from an ideal fix, but it’s all we’ve got for now. If you have a better solution, let us know in the comments.
