This will summon a Perpetual Mechanical Array, a boss which you might have fought already. If so, then you’ll already know that it’s a formidable opponent, but on the bright side, this version of the enemy doesn’t really have any surprises up its proverbial sleeves. The aim of the the Genshin Impact Thunder Sojourn Automaton Front challenge is to defeat the Mechanical Array. To make things easier, you can use the Nimbus Gems and Electorgrams to gain buffs and make the fight easier. We explain how those work in more detail in our Thunder Sojourn Weaving Lightning Genshin Impact guide.

Each time you beat the Perpetual Mechanical Array, you’ll get a 300 Thunder Crystals. You can spend these in the event shop to get useful items, but you’ll also need a thousand of them to get Beidou for free. All in all, you’ll need to complete the challenge eleven times to get enough Crystals to acquire Beidou and purchase everything from the shop. By the way, the fight does support random matchmaking, so you don’t have to be alone.
