New World Iron Locations Map
Iron locations in New World are easy tro find on the map if you know where to look for them. Iron ore is one of the most important resources in the early game. Players should look for reliable locations where they can mine iron. After mining it, you can then smelt it into iron ingots. These can then be crafted into something useful such as ammo or weapons. To be able to mine it, you will need the appropriate tool – a mining pick. The first mining pick you can create – called the flint mining pick – can be crafted in the Workshop of a Settlement. Bellow you’ll find the best spots to find iron are with our New World iron locations map.
Where To Find Iron In New World
Most often, iron ore in New World can be found in the highlands – hills, at the base of hills, in caves, or even in the forest. A good rule of thumb is that it’s found in higher places. Making your way up a hill is your best bet to find iron ore. You will be able to recognize iron ore veins since they look like conspicuous giant rocks that protrude through the ground. When you have spotted one, approach it and then interact with it to mine it using your mining pick.
A basic iron ingot requires 3 iron ores. In order to make an ingot, you will need access to a smelting station. Like the workshops, these can also be found in settlements. In the gallery below, we’ve covered the places that have the most iron veins near the first four starting locations. Simply go to these locations and harvest the iron there. Because not every high ground has iron ore there, this will save you quite a lot of time you otherwise would have spent searching for it. We hope you found our New World Iron location maps useful.
