Scarlet Nexus - How Many Phases Are There

The question of how many Phases there are in Scarlet Nexus has been cropping up fairly often now that the game is out. These Phases are actually the chapters of the story, and I think some players are a little nervous about them, because some can be completed in about half an hour. Don’t worry, though; the game has plenty of content to keep you busy, as we’ll show you in our Scarlet Nexus – How Many Phases Are There guide.

How Many Phases are in Scarlet Nexus

There are twelve Phases in Scarlet Nexus per character, adding up to twenty-four Phases if you play both campaigns. By the way, that’s absolutely something that you should do, because the stories of Yuito and Kasane diverge drastically. They both begin in roughly the same spot, aka when they join the OSF, but they end up in very different places. So, that choice of character at the beginning is not a mere male/female cosmetic choice. Even the description on Steam tells you to “complete both of their stories to unlock all the mysteries.”

Now, there’s still the matter of the Phases being relatively short, taking anywhere between half an hour to a couple of hours tops to complete. However, there are also Standby Phases, which happen between the main chapters. Gameplay-wise, these are separate from the rest of the game. They take place in the hideout, and allow you to get to know your crew members via bond episodes. So, along with the question of how many Phases there are in Scarlet Nexus, you should also take Side Phases into account. When all is said and done, you can expect to get anywhere between forty and fifty hours of content.

Scarlet Nexus is an action-adventure RPG steeped in anime aesthetics, developed and published by Bandai-Namco. Setting-wise, it does that thing where it mixes high-tech cyberpunk with supernatural powers and monsters. If that sounds like something you might like, you can purchase the game on PLayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
