How to Stop Sailing & Leave Waverider Boat in Genshin Impact

To stop sailing the Genshin Impact Waverider Boat and leave it, all you have to do is press and hold the jump button. This will catapult you up into the air, giving you plenty of space to grab onto a cliffside and clamber your way up. That said, you can technically use the same system to launch yourself into the water, if you so choose. Just keep in mind that your stamina will run out eventually, so swimming between islands is definitely not something I’d recommend. You should only do this when you’re at least in the vicinity of land.

As for how you can return to the boat, you have two options. The first one is to simply go back to the ship. When you get close enough, a button prompt will appear and let you climb back aboard. On PCs, that button is “F;” I don’t know what it is on other platforms, but don’t worry, you’ll see it on the screen. The second method is to summon the ship via one of the Waverider Waypoints. They are marked on the map as four-pronged stars, and they appear as stone crosses in the game (pictured below).

So, that’s how to stop sailing and leave the Genshin Impact Waverider boat. If you need more help with the new summer content, check out some of our other guides on the subject. We’ve written Find And Light Up All The Devices and Echoing Conches Genshin Impact Locations, with more coming soon!
