Dying Light 2 Big Announcement Coming May 27th

The lovely people from Techland, the developers of Dying Light 2, have sent us a lovely package and a bit of a puzzle. Once we solved it, we found out that something is gonna be happening on the official Techland Twitch account on Thursday, May 27th. They didn’t tell us what they’re planning to show, but we’re assuming a gameplay video of some sort. Heck, maybe even a release date, if we’re lucky.

Dying Light 2 Big Announcement Coming May 27th

First off, huge thanks to the Techland PR team for sending us this little present. Basically, what we got in the package was a poster, a sticker, a note that explained the little puzzle they’ve made for us, and a UV flashlight. So, obviously, after I stopped pointing it at every surface in the office, I took the poster and went over its entirety. What did we learn from it?

Well, even before using the blacklight, we noted that the name of the game in the corner was Dying Light 2 Stay Human, so I assume that’s the official full name of the game. However, the main thing that the poster tells us is that they’re planning something on May 27th at 9PM CEST on the official Techland Twitch, the link to which we’ve left above. What they have in store remains to be seen, but we’re expecting a release date and some new gameplay footage. I’ll take just one of the two. We’ll be hosting the stream on the website, as well as our YouTube and Twitch.

As I’ve mentioned already, we don’t quite yet have the release date for Dying Light 2; I do hope that changes on Thursday. We do know that it’s coming this year, and the ramping up of promo material definitely confirms it. Whenever the game does come out, you’ll be able to play it on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Until then, let’s see what they have in store for us on the 27th.
