Nier Replicant Hyneria - Fisherman's Final Gambit

Yes, you’re finally at the end of this long, long fishing road. All you have to do now is figure out where to catch a hyneria, and what the best bait to use is. Oh, and then battle the fish for about a minute or so. All that said, here’s our Nier Replicant Hyneria – Fisherman’s Final Gambit guide to help you out.

Where to Catch Hyneria in Nier Replicant

To catch a Hyneria in Nier Replicant for the Fisherman’s Final Gambit quest, the first thing you need to do is stock up on sardines. You can do so in two ways: you can either buy them from the fishmonger in Seaport for 250 Gold a piece, or by fishing for them yourself. For more details on that, check out our Nier Replicant Sardines Location guide. The second thing you need to do is go to the fast travel boat in the southwest of the Desert area. If you don’t know where that is, take a look at the map below. Incidentally, this is also where you can catch sandfish.

Once you get to the boat, stand a little bit to the side. Put a sardine as bait, and throw the line. Do not start pulling on the first two, small tugs; only start reeling in once the third, big pull happens. You’re in for a bit of a battle, because the hyneria is probably the toughest fish to catch. It took us an entire minute, to be exact. Don’t worry; after a bit of practice, you’ll finally catch the Nier Replicant hyneria. Hope you brought enough sardines!

Once you get a hyneria, head back to the pier in Seaport, and talk to the NPC that is standing there. I’m not gonna spoil what happens next. If you need visual assistance with catching a hyneria, check out the video below. All in all, good luck; you might need it.
