Where to Find Altaroth Jaws & Stomachs in Monster Hunter Rise

To find MH Rise Altaroth Jaws and Stomachs, you need to know where Altaroth appear and what they are. Well, they are basically really big ants whose stomachs are large and colorful. As far as we’ve discovered, they spawn in Frost Islands, around numbers 6 and 9. Well, a little bit to the south of both of those numbers usually, but you should probably scout out the general vicinity. Again, you’re looking for ants with colorful stomachs about the size of dogs. They’re not exactly difficult to spot.

One important thing to note about Monster Hunter Rise Altaroth jaws and stomachs – you can get them as both dropped items and carves. What that means is that you should try and not chop them to ribbons. If you preserve their bodies, you can then carve them, increasing both the odds of getting the jaws and stomachs, as well as how many you get. So, don’t use your primary weapon, or you’ll pulverize the poor fellas, reducing you to just drops. Instead, you can use your kunai, or poison bombs, or a bow. Any of these will work just fine.

That’s about all there is to it when it comes to how to get Altaroth Jaws & Stomachs in Monster Hunter Rise. If you have any other locations where they spawn, let us all know in the comments. In case you need assistance with anything else in the game, we’ve got a bunch of other MH Rise guides for you to check out.
